Man held on charge of murdering couple

A 54-year-old man was found murdered in front of his house at Kavalkaranpatti in Manapparai taluk in the district on Tuesday.

The name of the victim was given as P. Sivasubramanian, who was engaged in delivering LPG cylinders.

Police sources said Sivasubramanian went to sleep on the cot outside his house on Monday night. His family members found him murdered in the morning with injuries on the forehead. The body was sent to Government Hospital, Manapparai, for autopsy.
