Delhi cops launch probe after video of man threatening biryani shop workers goes viral

The Delhi Police on Saturday, November 6, started an investigation into an incident of a Muslim biryani shopkeeper being allegedly threatened by a man for opening his shop on Diwali.

The police registered a suo motu FIR after a video of the incident went viral. The suspect is heard threatening the Muslim shopkeeper for opening his biryani shop in Sant Nagar on the day of Diwali.

DCP, North, Sagar Singh Kalsi said: “We have not received any complaint. However, the facts are being verified. And legal action will be taken.”
