EC sends notice to Rekha Gupta, clears SIR discrepancy after verification

New Delhi: DelhiDelhiDelhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's electoral details were validated after the city poll body issued her a notice during the ongoing SIR over an "age-related discrepancy" in her enumeration form, officials said on Saturday.

Gupta, a voter and representative of the Shalimar Bagh assembly constituency, was among those whose details were flagged during the claims and objections period based on details submitted in their enumeration forms.

A notice was issued to her, and a physical verification was conducted by the designated booth level officer (BLO), the Shalimar Bagh electoral registration officer (ERO) said in a statement. "Following verification of the facts and documents submitted by Gupta, her electoral entry has been validated and parked for inclusion in the final electoral roll of AC-14 (Shalimar Bagh), scheduled to be published on November 4," it said.
