Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi alleges bias, seeks new judge for trial

Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi has moved the court seeking the transfer of the CBI and ED cases registered against her, including the IRCTC and land-for-job scams, alleging bias on the part of the Special CBI Judge hearing the matters.

In her plea filed at Rauz Avenue Court, Rabri Devi requested that the cases be assigned to a different judge to ensure fair and impartial justice. She claimed that Special Judge Vishal Gogne, who has been conducting hearings in these matters, is unduly inclined towards the prosecution.

The plea highlighted several instances that, according to Rabri Devi, demonstrate bias in the conduct of the judge during proceedings. It also expressed apprehension that a fair trial would not be possible if the same judge continues to hear the cases.
