The gang rape incident of a 20-year-old woman has shocked India once again and brought back memories of several heinous crimes against the daughters of this nation. The woman who was gang raped and brutally tortured by a group of 4 men in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras battled hard but succumbed to her injuries and died in a Delhi hospital on Tuesday.

The woman had suffered multiple fractures, paralysis and a deep cut in her tongue in the horrendous assault and the incident by many is being compared to the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape.
