Former Australian cricketer Aaron Finch wants Virat Kohli to bat at the No. 3 position in the T20 World CupWorld CupWorld Cup 2024. As the IPL 2024 reaches the middle stage, Indian players will look to put themselves forward as strong contenders for the upcoming mega event. The marquee tournament will begin within a week of the conclusion of the IPL from June 1 with the USA and West Indies being the co-hosts.
Finch, while speaking to Star Sports, picked Kohli's batting position in the T20 World Cup. He reckoned that the opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma could be really "exploitative" at the top of the order. Finch praised Kohli as one of the greatest white-ball players at the No. 3 position and wanted the star player to stay where he belonged.
"Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit could be so exploitative at the top of the order. I am not saying Virat can't be. But I think he has been the best no. 3 that the game has ever seen in the white-ball format, so keep him where he belongs," Finch said.
