Ranveer Singh Files Police Case After Deepfake Video Goes Viral

Mumbai: Days after Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s deep fake video took the internet by storm, the actor has finally taken legal action against the viral clip on social media. Recently, Ranveer Singh filed an FIR (First Information Report) and a police complaint to the Cyber Crime Cell to start investigating the matter. Scroll down to find more information.

While the deepfake AI video of Ranveer Singh went viral on the internet, the actor failed to take the necessary steps to stop the video from going viral on multiple social media applications. Recently, Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson confirmed that the actor has now taken the necessary steps to track down the source of the video.

The representative of Ranveer Singh said, “Yes, we have filed the police complaint and an FIR has been lodged against the handle that was promoting the AI-generated deepfake video of Mr. Ranveer Singh (sic).” In the deepfake viral video, Ranveer’s original video was morphed where he was purportedly seen promoting a certain political party.
