Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra, Foreign Service Institute renamed after Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi: Marking the birth anniversary of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, which falls on February 14, the Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday said that the Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra, Delhi, will be renamed as Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, and the Foreign Service Institute, Delhi, will be renamed as Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service.

“In solemn tribute to the invaluable contribution of former EAM Sushma Swaraj, it has been decided to rename Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra, Delhi as Sushma Swaraj Bhawan & Foreign Service Institute, Delhi as Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service,” the MEA said.

The MEA in a statement said that the renaming of the institutes has been done in honour of the legacy and decades of public service of the former External Affairs Minister.
