Bengaluru: In a big statement before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said that the INDIA bloc may not get an absolute majority. The veteran congress leader also said that even the NDA won’t get an absolute majority either and therefore, the INDIA bloc may have to depend on Mamata Banerjee from West Bengal, Naveen Patnaik from Odisha, the CPI (M) and other political parties.

“INDIA bloc may not get absolute majority, but at the same time, even NDA won’t get absolute majority either. So, INDIA (bloc) may have to depend on Mamata Banerjee from West Bengal, Naveen Patnaik from Odisha, CPI(M) and other political parties,” says Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah.

“In the name of the NDA, they are also forming alliances with other political parties. BJP alone has not come to power. They have increased their polling percentage, but it does not mean that the BJP alone has come to power,” Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah added.
