Bangalore: The joint efforts of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have led to the successful rescue of a 1.5-year-old child who fell into an open borewell in the village of Lachyan, located in the Indi taluk of Vijayapura district, Karnataka, following a tense and exhausting 20-hour rescue operation.

The toddler unintentionally fell into the exposed borewell, causing a stir in the neighborhood and prompting an immediate response from the local authorities. This heartbreaking incident took place. Teams from the NDRF and SDRF quickly moved to the area after getting the distress call. They brought specialist equipment and staff who had received rescue operations training.

Rescue workers faced several difficulties due to the depth and small space of the borewell as they labored diligently to free the trapped kid over the course of the nearly full day-long rescue operation. Rescue workers used a variety of methods, such as drilling nearby boreholes and setting up cameras and sensors to monitor the child’s condition and progress, as worried bystanders gathered at the scene.
