Water level in dams and rainfall

The water level in Papanasam dam on Sunday stood at 83.15 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 1,263.24 cusecs and a discharge of 1,104.75 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar dam stood at 67.45 feet (the maximum level is 118 feet) with an inflow of 35.42 cusecs and a discharge of 155 cusecs.

The rainfall recorded in Tirunelveli district ending at 6 a.m on Sunday is as follows (in mm): Manjolai 3, Kakkachi 9,  Nalumukku 22 and Oothu 17.
