Three of family killed in road accident in Mandya

Maddur (Mandya dist): Three members of a family were killed after a speeding milk tanker ran over their motorbike at Koppa, Maddur taluk, Mandya district, on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Muthuraj (35), his wife Kavya (30) and nine-year-old daughter Keerthana. The family was living in Bengaluru and had come to Koppa - Kavya’s maternal house -  to celebrate Gowri Ganesha festival. Their elder daughter Bhuvana survived with minor injuries and is undergoing treatment.

BECC to map accident-prone spots, fix smaller junctionsThey were returning to Bengaluru on their motorbike on Tuesday morning, when the accident occurred. A speeding milk tanker coming from the opposite direction rammed against their motorbike and ran over, killing them, according to Police.
