Water level in dams and rainfall

The water level in Papanasam dam stood at 124.45 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 1149.25 cusecs and a discharge of 100 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar dam stood at 106.38 feet (maximum level is 118 feet) with an inflow of 377.99 cusecs and a discharge of 455 cusecs.

The rainfall recorded in Tirunelveli district ending at 6 a.m on Saturday is as follows (in mm): Ambasamudram 4.20, Cheranmahadevi 4.20, Palayamkottai 2, Papanasam 14, Servalar dam 14, Manjolai 40, Kakkachi 43, Nalumukku 48 and Oothu 44.
