Watch: AB de Villiers' aura farming dance during SA's WCL title celebration
AB de Villiers rolled back the years with a masterful performance to lead South Africa Champions to the WCL 2025 title, earning Player of the Tournament honours after scoring his third century of the event, this time an unbeaten knock in the final against Pakistan. The nine-wicket win sealed South Africa's maiden World Championship of Legends trophy-but it was the post-match celebration that stole the spotlight online.
After the victory, the South African players gathered to lift the trophy, but it was Wayne Parnell who took the spotlight with a celebration that has gone viral. Parnell stood in front of the ‘Champions’ hoarding and performed the now-popular ‘aura farming’ dance, which has been trending on social media in recent weeks.
With the rest of the squad lined up behind him, Parnell led the choreography, while his teammates mimicked rowing motions. The dance is inspired by a video of a young boy dancing during a boat race at Indonesia’s Pacu Jalur festival, which gained widespread attention online.
