'Pradhan Zindabad': Ex-education minister gets rousing welcome in Parliament

Dharmendra Pradhan received a hero's welcome from NDA leaders in Parliament on Monday, signalling a strong show of solidarity with the former Education Minister who resigned two days ago amid nationwide protests over the NEET paper leak.

BJP MPs gathered at the Makar Dwar entrance ahead of Pradhan's arrival and waited to receive him.

As he entered the Parliament complex, party colleagues escorted him inside, greeted him and presented him with a ceremonial cap in a show of solidarity.

On their part, Opposition leaders, led by Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, staged a protest over the alleged use of excessive force against students during the nationwide protests.
