TVK chief Vijay headed to Delhi for CBI questioning in Karur stampede case

Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay will appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in New Delhi today in connection with the Karur stampede case.

Vijay has been summoned by the CBI as part of its investigation into the stampede that took place last year. In October 2025, the Supreme Court ordered a CBI probe into the incident.

According to sources close to CNN News18, the CBI is expected to question Vijay on several aspects related to the sequence of events leading up to the stampede. Investigators are likely to ask what Vijay knew about the events as they unfolded on the day of the rally.
