
Puducherry Airport observes Yatri Sewa Diwas
The Puducherry Airport on Wednesday observed Yatri Sewa Diwas by organising various events for travellers and residents.
Airport Director K. Rajasekhar Reddy in a release said the day was observed to reaffirm passengers the Airports Authority of India’s commitment to Indian values and service. A festive atmosphere was created at the Puducherry airport to welcome travellers. The AAI, in association with Department of Culture and Pondicherry University, presented several programmes to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage, the release said.
On the occasion, saplings were planted on the airport premises under Prime Minister’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ programme. A free health camp, painting competition for children studying in nearby schools of the airport and blood donation camp were organised on the day, the release added.
