Minister of Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath Gupta said that the services of “102 Thalli Bidda Express” are being strengthened to provide timely medical care to pregnant women, new mothers, and newborns during emergencies. He said that 500 new vehicles have been launched across the State and 27 vehicles have been allocated to Kurnool district.
Accompanied by District Collector Dr. A. Siri, Panyam MLA Gouru Charitha Reddy, and other officials, the Minister flagged off the vehicles at the District Medical and Health Office premises in Kurnool city on Tuesday (August 11, 2026).
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stated that the ‘102’ services play a crucial role in transporting pregnant women to hospitals promptly during emergencies and ensuring the safe return of mothers and infants to their homes after delivery. He said the new vehicles are equipped with air conditioning and modern technological features designed for use in emergencies.
