Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have released two batches of photographs from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring numerous high-profile public figures and immediately igniting a political firestorm in Washington. The initial release of 19 images, followed later the same day by approximately 70 more, represents a small fraction of the vast trove of over 95,000 photos the committee received from the Epstein estate as part of its ongoing investigation into the late financier’s extensive connections and conduct.
The photos, released without captions or context, feature a wide range of powerful men who socialised with Epstein, including sitting United States President States President States President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, billionaire Bill Gates, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew). The release underscores the breadth of Epstein’s elite social circle and places fresh scrutiny on the nature and extent of his interactions with the world’s powerful and wealthy.
The released images, many of which are undated, offer various glimpses into Epstein’s orbit:
Donald Trump appears in several photos from his pre-presidency days, including one black-and-white image where he is seen posing with a group of six women whose faces were redacted. Another image shows him speaking with a woman while Epstein stands nearby. Notably, one photo released later depicted novelty condoms with Trump’s likeness and the phrase, “I’m HUUUUGE!"
