Minister flags off new services of mini buses in Virudhunagar

Revenue Minister K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran on Monday flagged off new services of six mini buses in Virudhunagar.

The new mini buses have been introduced under the New Comprehensive Mini Bus scheme - 2024. Under the scheme, new services could be allowed for 25 km in routes. A total of 38 routes were taken up for scrutiny and out of which the six mini buses were permitted on new routes. Similarly, 11 existing mini-bus services were allowed for migration permitting them to ply on extended routes.

The Minister said that the administration was improving transport facilities based on the demands raised by the local people. He added that the present transport facilities would help people in all the routes.
