Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin warned of a massive protest that would bring the State to a standstill if the BJP-led Union government took a decision on delimitation that would affect the southern States and offer more political power to the northern States.
“Tamil Nadu will register its protest vehemently. I am not just the Chief Minister, but the leader of the DMK, a massive political movement. You will see a Tamil Nadu you have not seen before. India will once again see the DMK of the 1950s and 1960s,” he said in a video message.
Former national president of the BJP and Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare J.P. Nadda released the BJP’s election manifesto for the upcoming Assembly election in Tamil Nadu. The party’s poll promises have been broadly divided into 16 categories, while some of them have already been promised by the AIADMK, which leads the alliance in the State.
