Mangaluru: A day after holding Cabinet meeting in Mangaluru, Chief Minister D K Shivakumar visited the fisheries harbour in the coastal city, early in the morning on Saturday. He interacted with fishermen, fish vendors and representatives of various fishing associations to understand their problems.

The CM expressed displeasure over suspending the business at the harbour in the wake of his visit.

“I came here to listen to their grievances. I do not require security. When I reached the harbour, business activities had stopped. Fishermen and traders from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala depend on this place for their business," he said.
