Union Minister Pashupati Paras may tender his resignation from the Union Cabinet on Tuesday and has called for a press conference on Wednesday to outline his future course of action.

In a significant development, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) unveiled its seat-sharing formula for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Bihar on Monday. As per the announcement, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 17 seats, retaining its prominent role within the alliance. Meanwhile, the Janata Dal (United) (JDU), led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, will field candidates on 16 seats out of the total 40 parliamentary constituencies in Bihar.

Additionally, Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) will contest 5 seats. Furthermore, one seat each has been allocated to Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Samata Party and Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha.
