True champion of the game: Virat Kohli wishes ‘happy retirement’ to Dale Steyn

South African pacer Dale Steyn announced his retirement from international cricket after serving his country for 15 years. Dale Steyn has been one of the most consistent pacers for South Africa over the past decade. He has been one of the greats of the game and while the world wished him ‘happy’ retirement, his ex RCB mate Virat Kohli had a special message for the great. Kohli took to Twitter ahead of India’s final T20I against West Indies and his post read, “A true champion of the game. Happy retirement to the pace machine”.

Possibly the best of his generation, Dale Steyn decided to call it quits from Test cricket on Monday. An illustrious career of 15 years, which has seen him scale many heights, comes to an end after injury kept him out of the game for some time in the twilight of his career.

Fast and fiery, the bowler was successful enough to win the hearts of fans worldwide, without a boundary. Thus, it is natural that his followers would be too heartbroken to deal with news of Steyn’s departure.
