Australia's special comeback to win the match against New Zealand has made the Aussies look like the team of the past, says captain Allan Border.

Australia were under pressure against New Zealand after choosing to bat at Lord's here on Saturday, after losing their openers Aaron Finch, David Warner and later Steve Smith cheaply to be 46 for three.

But, just like the Australian teams of the past in the World Cup, they figured out a way to bounce back and put up 243 for nine before the World Cup 2019 leading wicket-taker Mitchell Starc ran through the Kiwi batting to fashion an 86-run win.
