Rashi, Kokilaben and Gopi Bahu are elated with the response to Rasode mein kaun tha rap

Viral rap Rasode mein kaun tha from Saath Nibhaana Saathiya has taken the social media by storm. The viral video, where Kokilaben (Rupal Patel) is seen asking Gopi Bahu (Gia Manek) 'Rasode mein kaun tha' (who was in the kitchen). The scene from the Star Plus show has an interesting back story. Saath Nibhaana Saathiya was based on kitchen politics of a Gujarati household.

The Star Plus show officially went off air more than two years ago but its re-runs are still popular with the viewers. A few days ago, 24-year-old Aurangabad-based music composer Yash Raj Mukhate made a rap song out of dialogue from the show, which went viral and the show has again become the talk of the town. The clip features actress Rupal Patel as Kokilaben, the strict mother-in-law and her two daughters-in-law. One is Gopi Bahu (Gia Manek) and other is Rashi (Rucha Hasabnis). The viral rap was shared by many celebs including Smriti Irani, Varun Dhawan, Rajkumar Rao and Anurag Kashyap.

Yashraj Mukhate, while experimenting with the music saw this video and turned it into a rap. Speaking to IndiaToday.in, he said, "I am not able to sleep for the past three days as I am getting so many calls over this video. It has overwhelmed me. Kokila (Rupal Patel) herself called me and congratulated me over my creation.
