Rajya Sabha elections postponed over coronavirus lockdown

Election Commission of India (ECI) has deferred the Rajya Sabha elections that were scheduled for March 26. Looking at the coronavirus lockdown in Delhi and most other states, Election Commission has decided to postpone the Rajya Sabha elections.

The Rajya Sabha elections were scheduled to be held on March 26. Delhi has been put on complete lockdown till March 31.

Madhya Pradesh leader Jyotiraditya Scindia who recently shifted camps from Congress to BJP was given a Rajya Sabha nomination by the saffron party.
