Bengaluru may be the IT hub of the country, but it is much more popular for several other reasons on the internet – traffic jams being at the top of the list. That’s why a local cab driver decided to start his own app to combat the hassles.

The cab driver named Lokesh took a bold step to challenge the dominance of Uber and Ola by launching his own app, Nano Travels. The initiative is the perfect ‘Peak Bengaluru’ moment and shows the innovative and enterprising essence of the city.

The news of Lokesh's venture was brought to light by an X user, The Bengaluru Man. He revealed that Lokesh, an Uber driver he encountered, had not only created a ride-sharing application but had also successfully enlisted over 600 drivers to join the platform. In a further nod to technological inclusivity, Lokesh's team launched an iOS version of the app.
