Cop writes ‘stay away from me’ on youth’s forehead

New Delhi: Even as migrants from across the country are on the move back to their native places in view of the ongoing 21-day nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, a Madhya Pradesh policewoman inscribed a ‘message’ on the forehead of a labourer and was thus issued a show-cause notice. Taking cognisance of the incident, Chhatarpur SP Kumar Saurabh called it ‘unacceptable,’ adding that the SI is being acted against as per the law.

Lashing out at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the opposition Congress tweeted: “Insensitive Shivraj government. The police wrote ‘I violated the lockdown, stay away from me’ on the forehead of a labourer. Shivraj has given only two options to the people: Either die due to corona or of hunger.”
