Australia all-rounder Cameron Green has revealed that he’s been suffering from a chronic kidney disease since his childhood. Green has not been selected in Australia's squad to face Pakistan in a three-match Test series at home.

In an interview to 7Cricket, Green revealed that he’s been suffering from a kidney disease which has no symptoms and is irreversible. Green has kept his medical condition private throughout his cricketing career.

“My parents got told when I was born that I had chronic kidney disease, basically, there are no symptoms. It just got picked up from the ultrasound. Kidneys can’t get better. It’s irreversible. So any way you can find to slow the progression, you basically try and do,” said Green.
