Pakistan's cricket captain, Babar Azam, has expressed concerns about the timely recovery of their fast bowler, Naseem Shah, ahead of their initial matches in the upcoming World Cup in India. Naseem Shah, known for his pace and potential, had sustained a right shoulder injury, and the Pakistan Cricket Board has yet to provide an official timeline for his rehabilitation.

On a more positive note, Pakistan's star fast bowler, Haris Rauf, is on the road to recovery from a side strain and is expected to be fit in time for their opening match against the Netherlands in Hyderabad on October 6th. Both Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf had suffered niggling injuries during Pakistan's Super Four clash against India in the Asia Cup, forcing them to sit out crucial matches.

Speaking about their prospects, Babar Azam remained cautiously optimistic, stating, "I'll tell you later… Not revealing our Plan B just yet. But, yes, Haris Rauf is making good progress with his side strain, and he should be back in action before the World Cup."
