Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces on Friday foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in J&K's Baramulla district. One terrorist was also killed by the security forces during the operation. The alert troops of the army noted suspicious movement in the Uri area along the LoC at Sabura Nala Rustam. Taking cognisance of the infiltration attempt, the troops challenged the intruders in order to foil their attempt, news agency PTI reported.

However, the intruders opened fire, which was retaliated by the soldiers. This resulted in the killing of at least one terrorist during the wee hours of Friday, the report added citing official sources. The search operation is still in progress, officials stated.
