Wrestler Aman Sehrawat one win away from medal, storms into semis

Aman Sehrawat advanced to the semi-final of the men’s 57kg event in wrestling in ParisParisParis Olympics 2024. On Thursday, August 8, he defeated Albania’s Abarakov Zelimkhan 12-0 via technical superiority in the quarterfinal at Champ-de-Mars Arena Mat A.

The 21-year-old has a tough task in hand as he is next set to lock horns with top seed Rei Higuchi from Japan, who got the better of Puerto Rico’s Darian Toi Cruz in the other quarterfinal. Aman is now one win short of securing a medal for India in the ongoing quadrennial event.
