Top Hezbollah leader Sheikh Muhammad Ali Hamadi shot dead inside his home

A senior Hezbollah official Sheikh Muhammad Ali Hamadi was shot dead by unidentified assailants in eastern Lebanon's Bekaa Valley region.

The incident took place on Tuesday night outside his residence in Machghara in western Bekaa district. Hamadi was shot at six times in the drive-by shooting by the gunmen in what the Lebanese media called an apparent assassination, the Times Of Israel reported.

As per the report, the assailants were driving two separate cars and fled the scene soon after the attack. The Hezbollah leader was rushed to a nearby hospital in the area, but died shortly later.
