
'Will have no choice': Iran warns it may have to acquire nukes if attacked

In a stark warning, an adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that if attacked by the US or its allies, Tehran would have no choice but to pursue nuclear weapons for its defence.
"We are not moving towards (nuclear) weapons, but if you do something wrong in the Iranian nuclear issue, you will force Iran to move towards that because it has to defend itself," Khamenei's adviser Ali Larijani told state television, as reported by France 24.
