Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi on Tuesday said that India’s swift and firm naval posture under Operation Sindoor forced the Pakistan Navy to remain confined to its ports and the Makran coast, preventing it from venturing into the northern Arabian Sea during the standoff.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Navy Day, Admiral Tripathi said that “Operation Sindoor remains in progress", and therefore many operational details cannot be disclosed.
The Navy Chief said that India’s “aggressive posturing and immediate action" ensured that the Pakistan Navy stayed docked, reducing the risk of escalation at sea.
