Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan gets bomb threat, turns out to be hoax

A bomb threat sent via email to the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai during the ongoing budget session on Thursday turned out to be a hoax, police said after conducting an extensive search of the premises.

Police said the email, received in the morning, threatened to blow up the sprawling legislative complex located at Nariman Point in south Mumbai, which houses both the state legislative assembly and council.
