Wayanad debris slip: Death toll rises to seven, one still missing

One more body has been recovered from the Wayanad debris slip site, bringing the total number of persons killed in the disaster to four, Kerala Minister A P Anilkumar has said.

The Minister told reporters that the body was recovered from zone 1 of the search area on Thursday (July 9, 2026) morning.

“Searches will be carried out in zone 1 and 2 of the area. Will be focussing search operations near the river also,” he said.
