Union Minister calls on Chief Minister

Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Jitin Ram Manjhi on Thursday called on Chief Minister N. Rangasamy.

The Chief Minister’s office termed the meeting a courtesy call. Before calling on the Chief Minister, Mr. Manjhi had an interaction with representatives of MSMEs and banks at the Chief Secretariat. He directed the banks to process the loan requests made by MSMEs without much delay. There are several schemes backed by the Central government to provide loans to MSMEs. The collateral-free micro business loans should be processed fast, he said.

The Minister also promised to improve the condition of MSME testing station in Puducherry. He also acknowledged the good performance of the MSME sector in the Union Territory. Industries Secretary Vikranth Raja was present at the meeting.
