Two, including 8-year-old girl, killed in electrocution near Ganesh pandal in Mumbai

Mumbai: In a disturbing incident, an eight-year-old girl and a 33-year-old woman were killed because of electrocution while four others were injured after temporary drinking water stall near a Ganesh pandal in the Kalachowki area of Mumbai.

The incident occurred at the entrance of the Mahaganpati Utsav Mandal in Digvijay Mill Chawl on Dattaram Lad Marg in Kalachowki, officials from the Mumbai Police and BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation said.

The incident took place between 2:00 and 2:30 am in the wee hours of Sunday, officials said.

The deceased were identified as Raghini Ghanshyam Yadav (8) and Sujata (33).
