Turkish Firm Celebi Aviations Plea Against Security Clearance Cancellation Rejected
In a fresh setback for the Turkish firm Celebi Aviation, the Delhi High Court has rejected the firm's plea challenging the Central government's revocation of its security clearance, following Operation Sindoor. Turkey's help to Pakistan against India during Operation Sindoor raised concerns over security and data in possession of Celebi Aviation.
Celebi was handling ground-based operations at Delhi Airport. The government cancelled its license, citing national security concerns. Celebi Airport Services India had termed the move arbitrary and based on vague national security concerns while challenging the decision in the Delhi High Court.
Earlier, Justice Sachin Datta had reserved the order on May 23 after hearing extensive arguments from Celebi Airport Services India Pvt. Ltd., Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India Pvt. Ltd., and the Union Government, represented by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta.
