War Escalation: Iran Claims Attack on USS Abraham Lincoln

During ongoing discussions in a war-room broadcast, Indian defense expert Sanjay Soi explained the strategic importance of the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln after Iran claimed it had attacked the vessel.

According to Soi, an aircraft carrier usually moves with a massive security formation including destroyers, frigates, submarines, helicopters, and fighter jets, making it extremely difficult to destroy. However, he acknowledged that Iran possesses ballistic missiles and drones capable of damaging such ships if they directly hit critical sections.

Meanwhile, a major development emerged from the United States where a Pakistani national, Asif Raza Merchant, was convicted in an American court for allegedly plotting the assassination of U.S. President Donald Trump. Authorities claim he was linked to Iranian military networks. At the same time, the U.S. is reportedly sending a third aircraft carrier, USS George H. W. Bush, to join the conflict.
