
Supreme Court judges reach Manipur to assess relief efforts in violence-hit state

A delegation of Supreme Court judges visited Manipur on Saturday and urged the people of the ethnic strife-torn state to work together to restore peace and harmony.
Justice BR Gavai led the delegation consisting judges Vikram Nath, MM Sundresh, and KV Vishwanathan, who visited a relief camp in the Churachandpur district and met with the internally displaced people, officials said.
They also launched a legal services camp, a medical camp, and a legal aid clinic online from the Mini Secretariat in Lamka. The Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, Justice D. Krishnakumar, and Justice Golmei Gaiphulshilu were also there.
