A wave of protests swept through the South Asian University (SAU) campus in south Delhi on Tuesday over the sexual assault of a student on campus.

The 18-year-old student was allegedly sexually assaulted by four men, including a security guard, inside the campus on Sunday. As the news spread on Monday evening, massive protests erupted that continued on Tuesday.

An FIR was registered on Monday after the Maidan Garhi police station received a PCR call around 3 p.m. “The caller identified as a friend of the student, who has levelled charges of sexual assault against four men,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankit Chauhan.
