Six-year-old boy dies as school gates collapses on him in Hayathnagar

Hyderabad news: A six-year-old boy lost his life when an iron gate collapsed on him at Hayathnagar Zilla Parishad School, located on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Tuesday. Tensions erupted as the boy’s family staged a protest demanding justice and accountability from the school administration.

The boy was identified as Ajay, son of A Chandru. According to the police, the incident occurred on Monday around 4 PM when Ajay, a Class I student, was playing near the gate with other children. Some children reportedly climbed on the gate and began swinging it back and forth which caused the weakened welding joints to give way. The gate fell inflicting severe head injuries on Ajay. Despite multiple hospital transfers, Ajay succumbed to his injuries, as reported by IANS.

Following the incident, the father of the deceased, A Chandru, gave a complaint to the police in Hayathnagar, reported Deccan Chronicle.
