SBI submits all details of electoral bonds with unique numbers to Election Commission

The State Bank Of India on Thursday furnished the entire electoral bonds data to the Election Commission Of India (ECI) as directed by the Supreme Court. The SBI has also submitted a compliance affidavit in the top court saying that it has furnished all the required details by the court.

The SBI chairman in his compliance affidavit has said that the details furnished to the ECI includes details of purchaser including there name, date of purchase and denominatino of the bond and issue branch code. According to his submission the prefix and bond number are alpha-numeric number.

He further said that complete KYC and banck account numbers are not being made public as it may compromise the security of the account.
