Satish Golcha appointed Delhi Police Commissioner

A day after the alleged attack on Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday (August 21, 2025) has appointed Satish Golcha as the new Commissioner of Police, Delhi.

Previously, S.B.K. Singh, was given the additional charge as the Commissioner, on August 1, 2025.

On Wednesday (August 20, 2025), Ms. Gupta was allegedly assaulted by a Gujarat man during a public hearing programme in the city.
