Sarfarazs's Father Gets 'Gift Of Thar' By Anand Mahindra After Son's Debut

The long and excruciating wait came to an end for Sarfaraz Khan as he made his Test debut for India in the third Test against England at Rajkot. Sarfarz's maiden international match for the senior Indian team came in front of his father Naushad, who remains the cricketer's biggest inspiration. It was Naushad's sacrifices that helped Sarfaraz realize his dream of representing India at the highest level. As Sarfaraz made his debut, industrialist Anand Mahindra decided to gift him a Mahindra Thar.

Reacting to a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Anand Mahindra promised to give Sarfaraz's father a Thar, having been touched by his story.

Sarfaraz made his debut for India a memorable one, becoming the batter to score the fastest fifty on his maiden outing. But, Sarfaraz's stay couldn't last long as he was run out following a mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja.
