Sanjay Kapoor says No Entry would be blockbuster even if Boney Kapoor signed him instead of Fardeen Khan
Sanjay Kapoor recently opened up about the challenges he faced in his acting career, despite being part of the famous Kapoor family. Sanjay is the brother of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and actor Anil Kapoor. In a candid conversation with Shivani Pau on her podcast, he discussed how his brothers, Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor, did not come to his aid during his tough times in the industry.
Sanjay shared that he was overlooked for a role in the hit movie “No Entry,” produced by Boney Kapoor and starring Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan. He believes he could have played the role that eventually went to Fardeen Khan. Reflecting on the situation, Sanjay said, “My brother (Boney) didn’t cast me when I was going through a tough phase.
When he made ‘No Entry,’ he could have chosen me instead of Fardeen Khan, but he didn’t. Fardeen was more sellable at that time. Even with Anil and Salman in the cast, the movie would have been a hit. But Boney went with Fardeen because he was a bigger draw at the box office then.”
