According to Drik Panchang, Navami Tithi starts at 01:23 PM on April 16 and ends at 03:14 PM on April 17.
Significance The day marks the birth of Lord Rama. Considered the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Lord Ram was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalaya of Ayodhya. According to Hindu beliefs, the epic tale of Ramayana depicts the triumph of good over evil with Lord Rama defeating the demon king Ravana and rescuing his wife Sita, who had been abducted. Lord Ram’s life serves as a moral compass for humanity, emphasising principles such as truth, loyalty and duty towards family and society.
